Confidence Building Courses

Our confidence building courses have been designed to improved confidence and self-esteem, by making positive changes to patterns of inappropriate behaviour and negative thinking. Using motivational coaching and NLP (Neuro-Lingustic Programming & DBM) the individual, both on a one-to-one basis and within a group, works to make any changes necessary to enable them to feel better about themselves and their lives.

Run either as 2 days or weekend course, or 4 x 3.5 hour sessions plus one to one sessions prior to the workshops and afterwards.

I have designed this two day training based on my experiences of the successes in assisting others to build their confidence and self worth using a new concept based on six steps or areas for change.

Step One: The Power of NOW

Learning to be in the present moment rather than worrying about tomorrow, next week or next year. Equally it is important not to dwell or ‘hang onto’ experiences from the past that caused us hurt or difficulties.

Step 2: The Power of THOUGHT

Often we think we should do things to conform or because we think it is what others want, we also can also sometimes have negative thoughts about ourselves “ Nothing works out for me” What’s the point I will fail again” or our thoughts about others maybe those of envy, jealously, anger. We question our thinking patterns and ask if our thoughts are useful or not and learn to make positive changes in our thinking? 

Step 3: The Power of IMAGINATION

We learn how to imagine and visualize being happy, successful and confident – all that we want in our lives.  We learn how to take ourselves to a beautiful place in our mind when times get rough.

Step 4: The Power of our UNIQUENESS

Recognising we are different from others and learning to stop comparing ourselves and desiring to be like others. We need to accept ourselves as we are and any imperfections and honour the importance of learning from our mistakes.

Step 5: The Power of VIBRATIONAL ENERGY

Our thoughts and behaviour patterns have an affect on our health, those around us and the environment. Here we experience how by making changes we improve how others react to us and recognise how to be joyful.

Step 6: The Power of BREATH

By stopping what we are doing and by paying attention to our breathing – we can control many of life’s anxieties and worries, eventually eliminate them. We learn to slow down and appreciate the world around us. This is a simple beginning to learning how to meditate.
 

Case example

One young man who was very agitated and said very little at the initial meeting, and showed anger in the first group, took on board the techniques for dealing with anger and made such huge changes he said he felt happier than he knew possible. His girlfriend hugged me and said she would stay with him now!
