First Impressions Workshop
This is a one-day workshop with Friend Communications, where the aim is:
• To explore first impressions and how delegates come across to people who they meet for the first time.
• To consider acquiring new skills towards understanding how we deal with relationships with others in the workplace.
• To consider the importance of non verbal communication.
By the end of the course:
• Delegates will have had the opportunity to discuss and ‘try out’ new ways of approaching situations.
• Delegates will have been shown a variety of ways to build rapport with others, and have a better understanding of how they process thought.
The day will include:
• Considering how to make a good first impression?
• Considering appropriate dress and clothing for differing situations
• What do people notice about us?
• The communications structure/non verbal communication
• Assertive behaviour and body language
• Understanding what we value
• Building rapport
• Our preferred processing or way of communicating
• Being prepared/ setting the scene
• Case studies
